Enhancement of Plastic Wood Properties

It was felt that PS could enhance the properties of lumber product made from tailings which were characterized as largely polyethylenes (HDPE or LDPE). The addition of densified reground PS to the mixture significantly improved the mechanical properties of the resulting product.
