Seme years after the acquisiticn of Victor Chemical Works, Stauffer combined the Victor research with a section of its own research in the Eastern Research Center in the New York area. As Stauffer wanted to retain Arthur s scientific expertise and experience for the company, he was offered a sabbatical year as a visiting scientist under Professor Harry Julius Emeleus in Cambridge, and could then rejoin the Stauffer team as a Senior Scientist.
