Electron Transfer Processes at Organic Insulator Electrodes

Electron Transfer Processes at Organic Insulator Electrodes [Pg.559]

The first experiments with anthracene electrodes were performed by Kallmann and Pope. More detailed investigations were performed by Mehl and co-workers (see Ref. 97 and literature cited there). These authors analyzed quantitatively various charge transfer processes. They observed, for instance, a cathodic limiting current for anthracene using as a redox [Pg.560]

Unfortunately, these crystals are not completely inert. Injected charge carriers at the surface, especially holes, undergo slow side reactions which lead to a change of the chemical nature of the crystal surface. This effect has a remarkable influence on the interface-controlled limiting current, as shown by Willig et These authors developed a kind of pulse technique [Pg.560]
