Effective Warehouse Safety Programming

This chapter will focus on a variety of methods and programs to reduce injuries, increase profitability, reduce OSH A citations, improve worker morale, and maintain a cleaner, more organized workplace. Many organizations do not venture out to inqirove their safety efforts out of fear that safety costs too much. Workers compensation costs and increased insurance premiums can many times exceed any costs an organization could channel toward improved safety. It is the injuries and illnesses that cost, not safety. [Pg.11]

It is evident that to have a safe warehouse, management must incorporate and include many elements of safety and health planning. Injuries and illnesses will not be reduced unless an effective program is implemented. This book provides program guidelines for the above list as well as controls for many other hazards. [Pg.6]
