Editorial process final manuscripts

With all this help, one might think that few errors or infelicities could have survived. Some did, and I am lucky to have benefited from the learning and literary skills of the copy editor, Eleanor Lawrence, who has tightened and clarified the manuscript with many judicious changes. Finally, I thank Abbie Headon, of OUP, who has responded quickly and helpfully to my many queries about the editorial process. Any remaining faults are all my own. 

Todd Baldwin, my editor at Island Press, made the entire process through the final product a very positive experience, and his editorial insight once again proved invaluable to the manuscript. He is the best book editor I ve had the privilege of dealing with. I would also like to thank the entire staff of Island Press for their enthusiastic support of this book from the beginning. I am very appreciative of the work of Pat Harris, the most thorough of copyeditors.
