Also indicated are the depletion width, W, the Fermi levels, band edges, and the Schottky barrier heights, Ob. Note that Schottky barriers to both n and p-type semiconductors exist but that to calculate the barrier for the p-type semiconductor you need to compare the valence band edge with the metal work function while for the n-type material it is the conduction band that is compared to the work function.
