EAQC-WISE

A recent investigation conducted as part of the FP7 EAQC-WISE project (Gardner et al., 2007) showed that in general, customers (i.e. competent authorities responsible for the monitoring programmes) at the moment do not require an explicit statement of uncertainty associated with the results. 

The results of a recent investigation conducted as part of the FP7 EAQC-WISE project (Morin et al, 2007) confirm that the approach used by different laboratories is very variable, even within the same country. Results are seldom corrected for organics. In any case, the information about correction of the results is rarely provided to the customer (unless requested), nor is it specified whether the extraction recovery is included in the measurement uncertainty.
