E-wallets

Under the new CDL/medical card merger rule, the driver s medical card is now tied to his/her CDL. The driver must submit the medical examiner s certificate (i.e. wallet card) along with a self-certification to the state licensing office. The self-certification identifies whether the driver is engaged in 1) interstate commerce and subject to the medical card, 2) interstate under exempt transportation (e.g., farming), 3) intrastate and subject to the medical card, or 4) intrastate and not subject to the medical card.
