Durability of Two-Part Acrylics

Two-part acrylics will often show slightly improved durability over cyanoacrylates, particularly where the gaps are bigger and one of the substrates is not a plastic. However, two-part acrylics do not bond well to elastomers and here cyanoacrylates will show much better durability. [Pg.135]

For impact resistance and peel strength, the tougheners in two-part acrylics will be of major benefit and, since these adhesives will typically be of lower cost than UV adhesives or cyanoacrylates, they are often used for the larger applications. [Pg.135]

As with all of these adhesives, the durability will depend on many factors and it will always be necessary to chose an adhesive system (i.e., pre-treatment/cure speed/ [Pg.135]
