Dobbs House

In 1968, when Olin Mathieson spun off Squibb to its shareholders, Squibb CEO Richard Furland, who had been an Olin lawyer, immediately acquired another of Olin Mathieson s subsidiaries. Beechnut, makers of candy, chewing gum, and other products (which in turn had recently bought Dobbs House, a food service company).
