The Dneprovsko-Bugskiy Liman represents flooded river valleys widened in the seaward directions. The liman involves three parts the Dneprovskiy Liman, the Bugskiy Liman and their combined part. An area of the Dneprovsko-Bugskiy Liman equals about 1000 km2, its length from the Dnieper delta to the Kinburnskiy outlet is equal to 63 km, its width is up to 15 km, and its mean and maximum depths are 4.4 and 12 m [5,14]. A length and a maximum width of the Bugskiy Liman are equal to 42 and 2 km, respectively. The Kinburnskiy outlet has a width in the narrowest place of 3.7 km its mean depths are 4.3-4.5 m, and a maximum depth within navigation channel reaches 20 m [5]. [Pg.122]
