As a highly trained professional salesman, the distributor salesman makes concrete contributions to the area he serves. He brings new products and new ideas to the attention of local industry, and provides services on them. These benefit the customers and the community in which he is located, as well as the chemical manufacturer and the employer he represents. [Pg.91]

The distributor salesman who provides local and frequent person to person contact with the customer has a partner who is the inside man on the telephone at the local branch office. This key man supplements the salesman s contacts by handling orders and requests for information.
