Distribution designating beneficiaries

Trust. A trust agreement designates someone you choose (called a trustee) to hold property you transfer to the trust on behalf of a beneficiary. Property distributed through a trust is not subject to probate. The estate tax advantages are limited and vary depending upon the type of trust. 

In Zambia, beneficiaries of the Kalomo District Pilot Social Cash Transfer Scheme who live more than 15 kilometers from the designated bank visit the closest local service point, which is usually at a school or health center. Pay point managers are responsible for collecting the money and distributing it to beneficiaries (Devereux and others 2005). This not only makes collecting the money easier for beneficiary households, but facilitates the administration of the scheme and reduces banks workload.
