Dispersion crotonaldehyde hydrogenation

The specific activity for the hydrogenation of crotonaldehyde is high and follows the order AC ACqxt < ACqx, but is closer for catalysts ACqxt and ACqx, in spite of their different dispersions, than for AC and ACqxt> with similar dispersions. This suggests that platinum particle size is not the only factor related to catalytic activity. The selectivity to crotyl alcohol is low for catalyst AC, and larger for the other catalysts, especially for ACqx. [Pg.436]
