Figure 10 compares the adsorption densities of dipicolinic (2,6-pyridine dicarboxylic) acid on monodispersed spherical crystalline hematite (a-Fe20s) particles of 100 nm in diameter and on amorphous chromium hydroxide spheres of 350 nm in diameter, as a function of the pH [23]. Note the different scale on the ordinates referring to the two adsorbents.
