Dimethylbis triphenylphosphine palladium II

PdMe2(tmeda) + 2 PPh3 - cis-PdMe2(PPh3)2 + tmeda [Pg.170]

In a 25-mL, round-bottomed flask, PPh3 (0.22 g, 0.84 mmol) is added to a solution of PdMe2 (tmeda) (0.10g, 0.40 mmol) in benzene (5 mL). A precipitate is formed in a short time. After stirring for 45 min the solvent is removed in vacuo. The product is washed with hexane (2 x 20 mL) and dried in vacuo. The solid is redissolved in a mixture of dichloromethane (14 mL) and acetone (6 mL). Hexane (15 mL) is added and the solution is concentrated in vacuo, giving a white solid. The solid is washed with hexane (2 x 30 mL) and dried in vacuo (0.22g, 85%). HNMR in CDC13 5 1.0-1 A (m, 15H) [C6H5], 0.22 (dd, 3H, JH-r 4 and 7 Hz) [PdMe], 31P H NMR in CDC13 8 24.0. [Pg.170]
