Dimensionless groups for mixing

In the design of liquid mixing systems the following dimensionless groups are of importance. 

The Reynolds number for mixing ReM represents the ratio of the applied to the opposing viscous drag forces. 

In the above equations, p, p. and a are the density, dynamic viscosity and surface tension respectively of the liquid PA, N and DA are the power consumption, rotational speed and diameter respectively of the agitator.
