Dihyrofolate reductase

The reaction catalyzed by thymidylate synthase is the only one known in the cell in which tetrahydrofolate is not regenerated. Dihyrofolate reductase, thus, plays an essential role in the ultimate regeneration of 5,10-methylene tetrahydrofolate.
