Diffusion reactivity

It is as not known to what extent the observed formation of 2-dRL in DNA is due to such a tandem lesion (see also Sect. 12.4.4 note that HI is hidden in the minor groove (Sect. 12.2) and not very likely to be attacked by freely-diffusing reactive radicals such as -OH). 

In general, dyeing with reactive dyes is very similar to the well-known process of direct dyeing (see Section 4.3). The major difference is that the reactive dye forms a chemical bond to the fiber. Important factors determining the dyeing properties of reactive dyes include affinity of the dye for the fiber (substantivity), its diffusibility, reactivity, and the stability of the dye-fiber bond. 

Photochemistry provides a powerful and versatile means of probing the mobility of species adsorbed on surfaces (9,10)- The basic reason for this power is that the absorption of light can produce, instantaneously on the time scale of diffusion, reactive intermediates whose chemistry is totally determined by their mobility on the surface of the porous solid. With proper selection of the reactant species, information concerning the mobility of the precursor reactive intermediates can be. locked into the structure of the stable, isolable products. In such cases, (11-15) product analysis provides a simple, yet elegant method to obtain information on the dynamics of motion of molecules adsorbed on the zeolites.

As mentioned earlier, fibrosarcoma ex DFSP is a special variant of dermatofibrosarcoma. Two immunopro-files may be observed in this composite tumor It may be diffusely reactive for CD34 throughout, or the fibro-sarcomatous component may lack that marker, producing biphasic immunoreactivity. ... 

MRT characteristically shows diffuse reactivity for vimen-tin, focal reactivity for at least one epithelial marker, and variable expression of mesenchymal and neuroectodermal markers.

The problem of preferential solvation (PS) arises in almost any physical chemical study of solutes in mixed solvents. The study could be thermodynamic, spectroscopic, or kinetic, where the behavior of the solute (e.g., chemical shift, diffusion, reactivity, etc.,) depends on the composition of the solvent. In order to understand how the solvent composition affects the solute behavior, we need to know the composition that the solute sees, i.e., the composition in its immediate vicinity. This is, in general, different from the bulk composition of the mixed solvent.
