Differential sublimation, separation

Differential sublimation can separate and purify complex mixtiures of organic materials. This was shown in a previous program where it was used to purify parasexiphenyl for use as a scintillator (27). A closely related technique was used elsewhere to separate PNA s for subsequent analysis by fluorescence spectroscopy (28). A system has been built (Figure 12), to investigate the applicability of this technique to the rapid evaluation of samples taken at coal conversion facilities. [Pg.95]
