Different ways fitting together

We see then that there are many possible ways of fuelling a fuel cell, and the options are varied. Figure 8.1 is an attempt to show how these different possibilities fit together and where the information you may require can be found in this chapter. 

Understand how all of the different elements of combat fit together in an overall combat phase space Are there regions that are sensitive to small perturbations, and, if so, might there be a way to exploit this in combat (as in selectively driving an opponent into more sensitive regions of phase space) ... 

Part of the instruction about combination problems has to do with the way multiple situations fit together in stories, and part of it describes multiple situations when there is an unknown in a problem. After the students have become familiar with the idea that problems are composed of different situations, SPS moves on to instruction that deals directly with making plans for solving the combination problems. 

Some proteins—called monomeric proteins— aie composed of only one polypeptide chain. However, multimeric proteins are composed of several polypeptide chains, called subunits. We just saw, for example, that hemoglobin is composed of four such subunits. The way that subunits fit together in a multimeric protein is referred to as the quaternary structure of the protein. Quaternary sfiucture is maintained by the same types of interactions that maintain tertiary structure, but the interactions are between amino acids on different subunits.
