Differences significant figures

The values obtained for the acentric factor differ significantly from one another. As shown in Figure 4.3, this factor depends on the temperature, the physical property being considered, and the method used. 

It is important to be aware of the filter s properties in different environments. Figure 9.2 shows how, in the case of new filters, separation varies with particle size and filter class. The filter class is based on the average efficiency, and a new filter normally has much lower initial efficiency. In the case of electrostatically charged filters, separation may be significantly higher for new filters. The figure should be seen as an indication of minimum separation during actual operation. 

E (2) = +0.77 V, potentials should be identical but differ because of the limited number of significant figures used to derive and evaluate the equations. 

The (+)-anatoxin-a analogs (/ )- or (5)-iV-methylanatoxinol, both possess the ability to block the ion channel [the voltage-dependence of their characteristics differ in a way which is the topic of another report (34). As is often the case, the blocked state induced by (/ )-7Y-methylanatoxinol and the closed state differed significantly in duration, such that the blocked state was associated with short closed periods within groups of openings called bursts (Figure 4). The number of short closed periods per burst increased with the concentration of the drug because the likelihood of channel blockade increased relative to the likelihood of channel closure.

It is essential to do this, because a very small mass difference translates into an extremely large amount of energy. Even though the mass difference in this example is less than 1%, the energy difference is more than 10 kJ/mol. 

The data shown in Figures 6 A-D indicate that while the smaller particles 85, 98 eind 109 nm are indistinguishable from the dissolved solute, sodium dichromate, in as far as detector behaviour is concerned, the detector response differs significantly for the larger diameter particles. The reduced peak area and hence t irbi-dity indicated for the larger particles is a direct result of the optical effects noted earlier. The observations are consistent with the findings of Heller and Tabibian that the corona effect... 

Both osteoarthritis and RA are prevalent in the American population, but they differ significantly in presentation (Table 54-2). Figure 54-1 illustrates the typical joint involvement for patients with RA and osteoarthritis.
