Isolated from Dictyota divaricata harvested in the Indian Ocean, divarinone is a tricyclic diterpene whose original skeleton is closely related to that of xenicane (Trimurtulu, Kushlan, and Faulkner, 1992). No other similar diterpene seems to have been isolated.
