Dichlorobis zirconium derivative

The. reaction of various monosubstituted alkenes containing hydrocarbon substituents, as well as those containing heteroatom substituents, with Me3Al and a catalytic amount of a chiral dichlorobis(l-neomenthylindenyl)zirconium derivative provides, after oxidation with O7, 2-methylalkan-l-ols in high yields with up to 85% ee [126] (Scheme 7-106).
