Di-D-fructose-glycine

Anet had previously obtained the crystalline di-D-fructose-glycine ... [Pg.254]

Recently, Anet isolated the trans (70) and cis (71) forms of (69B) from the by-products of the preparation of 3-deoxy-D-er2/i/iro-hexosulose from di-D-fructose-glycine. The two isomers were separated by chromatography on a paper column and were eluted with 80% aqueous acetone in the order ds isomer, trans isomer, and the 3-deoxy-osulose. The two isomers gave quite different color reactions with naphthoresorcinol. [Pg.258]

An investigation of the unidentified carbonyl compounds resulting from the other n-fructose moiety of (56) showed that the preponderant component was 3-deoxy-D-erj/< TO-hexo8ulose (52). Similarly di-n-tagatose-glycine formed 3-deoxy-n-[Pg.255]
