Devices Bragg grating

Figure 10.13 shows examples of high-resolution patterns formed on small scale cylindrical objects - optical fiber and microcapillary tubes [1]. These simple devices (integrated photomasks for optical fiber Bragg gratings and intravascular stents), require only one patterned layer. 

A polymeric waveguide-type wavelength filter based on a Bragg grating has been fabricated using a simple nanoimprint technique by Ahn et al. [170] They obtained a maximum reflection of 25 dB at 1,569 nm and the bandwidth at 3 dB was about 0.8 nm for a device length of 1.5 cm. 

Besides SPR and resonators, other glass device platforms potentially suitable for refractometry detection include inteferometers and waveguide Bragg gratings [109]. 

Photosensitivity in fibers has aheady produced a number of useful devices such as Bragg grating devices for DWDM applications. Commercialization of this technology is... 

The addition of silica or silver nanoparticles to the Bragg grating structure led to enhancement of the laser intensity and decrease in the linewidth. The system may be considered a low-cost device, with a very simple fabrication and with potential applications in biophotonics and biomedicine due to biocompatibility and biodegradability.
