Design conditions and assumptions

An assessment of risk to life and property is needed for a project designed to function up to the initial set of design conditions and assumptions. If the risk (a combination of the probability of failure and consequences of failure) is not acceptable, then a project with a higher level of protection (a new set of design conditions and assumptions) needs to be evaluated for risk.
