Goto et al. " described a simple, rapid, and simultaneous analysis method for oxytetracycline, tetracycline, chlortetracycline, penicillin G, ampicillin, and nafcillin in meat using electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry. The samples were homogenized with water followed by a centrifugal ultrafiltration after addition of internal standards (demeclocycline, penicillin G-ds, ampicillin-fi 5, and... 

The same group of authors published a paper (52) summarizing established optimal conditions for the analysis of tetracyclines by means of HPLC and HPTLC including methacycline (MC), demeclocycline (DMC), rolitetracycline (RTC), and minocycline (MI). The chromatographic systems for the separations have already been described (determination of tetracyclines in honey, silica gel RP-8) (50) scanning was performed at 350 nm (see Fig. 5 and Table 23).
