Delivery and Dispersal Systems

Certain chemical agents such as the nerve agents, sarin and VX may be generated from their components before their delivery onto the target. This is accomplished by rupturing the canisters containing the components of these compounds which react upon mixing. 

Antidotes for cyanide poisoning are effective only when administered immediately. The medical management procedures include inhalation of amyl nitrite followed by intravenous administration of about 300 mg sodium nitrite over two to four minutes and
