D-Sorbite

Die HF-Isomerisierung der 1,5-Anhydro-glycite verlauft nach dem glei-chen Prinzip wie bei den Cycliten, in dem eine cis-trans-Gruppierung 115 sich in 116 umlagert. 1,5-Anhydro-D-sorbit-tetraacetat 133 besitzt... [Pg.139]

Isosorbide Dinitrate Isosorbiddinitrate, 1,4 3,6-dianhydrosorbate-2,5-dinitrate (19.1.4), is synthesized by intermolecular dehydration of D-sorbite into isosorbide (19.1.3) using para-toluenesulfonic acid and subsequent nitration of the two hydroxyl groups by nitric acid [5-7]. [Pg.259]

Nitrosorbite (Sorbitol hexanitrate) d-Sorbite occurs in the berries of the mountain ash, but is more readily procured by the electrolytic reduction of d-glucose. It crystallizes with one molecule of water in small crystals which lose their water when heated and melt at about 110°. Nitrosorbite, isomeric with nitromannite, exists as a viscous liquid and has never been obtained in the crystalline state. It is used in non-freezing dynamites. [Pg.238]

The starting point for synthesis of vitamin C is the selective of oxidation of the sugar compound D-sorbit to L-sorbose MsingAcetobacter sub-oxidans bacteria. L-sorbose is then converted to L-ascorbic acid, better known as vitamin C. [Pg.317]
