Nitrogen cycling

The result is that the amino groups can be dumped out as alanine (the transamination product of pyruvate). In the liver and kidney, alanine is transaminated to yield pyruvate and glutamate. As in the Cord cycle, the pyruvate is converted to glucose by the liver and is shipped out. The glutamate is fed into the urea cycle-nitrogen disposal system to get rid of the excess nitrogen. 

Hydrogen is one of the constituents of water. It recycles as in other biogeochemical cycles. It is actively involved with the other cycles like the carbon cycle, nitrogen cycle, and sulfur cycle. 

The second transformation is a version of the aforementioned Boulton-Katrizky rearrangement [522], Benzofuroxan was not isolated but appeared as an intermediate on heating 2,6-dinitro-3-azidoaryldiazenobenzene. The reaction starts with nucleophilic attack of the diazene fragment on the furoxan cycle nitrogen atom [653].
