Cyclic indirect tension test on cylindrical specimens CIT-CY

2 Cyclic indirect tension test on cylindrical specimens (CIT-CY) [Pg.339]

This method measures the stiffness of bituminous mixtures by the cyclic indirect tensile test, using cylindrical specimens, manufactured in the laboratory or cored from a road layer. [Pg.339]

The test should be performed at a constant load and at a certain load frequency and temperature. The applied load should be within a lower and an upper load level. The lower load level is determined so that a resultant stress of 0.035 MPa is arrived at. The upper load level limits are determined in such a manner that the initial horizontal strains in the specimen centre are in a range from 0.05%o to 0.10%o. [Pg.340]
