Coordination polymers cyano-bridged

A number of cyano-bridged coordination polymers with Prussian Blue-related structures, in which extended linear Ag(CN)2 or AufCNH bridges take the place of the OT bridges of the prototype, show 3-fold interpenetration [1]. A typical example is that of Rb[Cd Ag(CN)2)3] consisting of Rb+ cations and a 3-fold interpenetrating polymeric anion, whose structure is shown in Figure 31. [Pg.98]

When the assembly process involves hexacyanometallates and fully solvated metal ions, Prussian-blue phases are obtained, which are cubic 3D networks. Figure 33 shows the crystal structure of such a 3D cyano-bridged coordination polymer NaMnCr(CN)6- ... [Pg.502]

In the case of Cu(l) ions, the structure is composed of macrocations [Cu(cw-dbe)2]" in which each metal center is coordinated with one CN group of the four DTE molecules [63]. Each c/s-dbe bridges two copper(l) ions with two cyano groups, leading to an infinite network of metal cations. This copper coordination polymer shows reversible photochromism in the crystalline phase, whereas no modification is observed for the related [Cu(fra s-dbe)(THF)(C104)] which forms a zigzag chain (Fig. 6). [Pg.195]

For the first time phthalocyaninatometal polymers with a bridging ligand linked by one o- and one coordinative bond to the central metal have been synthesized. These are the (y-cyano)-phthalocyaninatometal compounds shown in Fig. 11. The most interesting property of these type of ( i-cyano)phthalocyaninato-metal compounds is, that with Co and Fe as the central metal atom, they exhibit DC room temperature conductivities around... [Pg.128]
