Cyanine general formula

The compounds obtained in solid state have the general formula [MefSCNf JR., (R-cations of cyanine dyes) and could be embedded into polyvinylchloride matrix. In two patents,the preparation of thioether-substituted selena-zoles of the general formula (6) have been described.
