Curie-point writing

A second procedure involves local heating above the Curie point 7. The atomic moments which give rise to strong thermal fluctuations in the vicinity of 7 will orient themselves in a direction antiparallel to the main magnetization of the film when the laser beam is switched off and the temperature of the spot decreases. This procedure is known as Curie point writing.
