Orange is used to designate warning for dangerous equipment that may crush, cut, shock or otherwise injure. As an example, machine guards should be painted yellow on the outside and orange on the inside. [Pg.91]

In a more recent development a new wireline tool has been developed that actually drills a plug out of the borehole wall. With sidewall coring (Fig. 5.36) some the main disadvantages of the SWS tool are mitigated, in particular the crushing of the sample. Up to 20 samples can be individually cut and are stored in a container inside the tool. [Pg.130]

Herbal drugs are available in coarsely to finely chopped forms, as cut or concis" drugs leaves often appear on the market cut into four-sided fragments woods, roots, and barks as chips most fruits and seeds usually unbroken, in the whole or toto " condition, and they are sometimes crushed before being used. Powdered glass and crushed carbon are placed in molds and heated to 1000°C, at which temperature the carbon is oxidized, forming gas bubbles which causes expansion of the glass mix. The cellular material is then annealed and, after cooling, cut to size. [Pg.122]

The pineapple fruit is mainly processed for canning as slices or cubes. After cutting, the residual pulp is removed from the peel for cloudy juice production. Then, by-products are used to produce clear juice for slices cover or as clear concentrate. In the process of clear juice, by-products are crushed and pressed. The juice is pasteurized, cooled down and depectinized with enzymes at 50°C before ultra-filtration and concentration... [Pg.460]

Rotorvaned leaf is usually further cut in a CTC (crush, tear, curl) machine, which is made up of two closely spaced grooved rollers rotating at different velocities. After leaf passes through this equipment, it is more finely divided than that processed by orthodox rolling. [Pg.65]

He said no more, but I knew that he spoke of his own brother, Edmund. As if he murmured a spell, my mind s eye conjured a fair young man, not unlike him about the mouth and eyes but lacking a man s weight and strength, his skin unscarred and his brow yet smooth.
