Creation stage

Creation stage The first stage of a two-stage life cycle, starting with the first effort (cost) attributable to the project, and ending when the physical object starts to provide the service. development stage... [Pg.98]

This text will attempt to develop an understanding of the concepts required at each stage during the creation of a chemical process design. [Pg.3]

We showed that these mesoporous silica materials, with variable pore sizes and susceptible surface areas for functionalization, can be utilized as good separation devices and immobilization for biomolecules, where the ones are sequestered and released depending on their size and charge, within the channels. Mesoporous silica with large-pore-size stmctures, are best suited for this purpose, since more molecules can be immobilized and the large porosity of the materials provide better access for the substrates to the immobilized molecules. The mechanism of bimolecular adsorption in the mesopore channels was suggested to be ionic interaction. On the first stage on the way of creation of chemical sensors on the basis of functionalized mesoporous silica materials for selective determination of herbicide in an environment was conducted research of sorption activity number of such materials in relation to 2,4-D. [Pg.311]

Pre-cracked specimens are sometimes useful for other reasons than the analysis that they afiford in relation to stress-intensity factors. Such applications may be associated with the simulation of service situations, the relative ease with which stress-corrosion cracks can be initiated at pre-cracks or the advantages that sometimes accrue from the propagation of a single crack. The claim that has sometimes been made of pre-cracked specimen tests-that they circumvent the initiation stage of cracking in plain specimens, erroneously assumed invariably to be related to the creation of a corrosion pit that provides a measure of stress concentration approaching that... [Pg.1371]

A related study with a similar ruthenium catalyst led to the structural and NMR characterization of an intermediate that has the crucial Ru—C bond in place and also shares other features with the BEMAP-ruthenium diacetate mechanism.33 This mechanism, as summarized in Figure 5.4, shows the formation of a metal hydride prior to the complexation of the reactant. In contrast to the mechanism for acrylic acids shown on p. 378, the creation of the new stereocenter occurs at the stage of the addition of the second hydrogen. [Pg.381]

A from 85VAC input. Its measured efficiency was around 62%, in line with the published datasheet curves, and also the predictions of my Mathcad spreadsheet (that spreadsheet is, incidentally, available on the accompanying CD-ROM of my A to Z book). The output stage of my grizzly creation is shown in Figure 5-3 (try selling this one ). But it works ... [Pg.128]

There is an alternative to the notions of materialistic physicists, which may have more appeal for theosophists, and which should eventually prove reconcilable with the physicist s point of view. It is that the atoms seen by occultists are Archetypes. Can it be that they arose from thoughts in the Logoic Mind, densified in stages down to the etheric level, so that they are more fundamental than the chemical atoms we know in the dense physical world This notion would accord with the Story of Creation as told in theosophical literature, (ioo)... [Pg.95]
