Counts to Peak

Count/ring-down count/emission count the number of times within the duration, where one signal (waveform) exceeds a present threshold. In Fig. 4.1, nine counts are observed. Count is also employed to quantify the AE activity as well as hit . It is noted that counts depend strongly on the employed threshold and the operating frequency.
