A standard tableau is defined as one in which the numbers increase when one reads from left to right in each row and from top to bottom in each column. It can be shown Mi) that the dimension of a representation is equal to the number of standard tableaux associated with the corresponding diagram. The reader is also referred to the literature Mi) for methods of calculating characters of the representations from the diagrams. [Pg.31]

Figure 9. Formation of circular scattering regions (rings) in the reciprocal lattice of a texture, and relationship between their shape and the structure of the specimen. Transition from a point to a ring (a) for an ideal texture without disorder (c), having a distribution function (e) (d), (f) - corresponding diagrams for a real texture with some disorder. Figure 9. BaAg2(N02)4.H20, from a soln. of the component salts. The formula is here due to M. Oswald, who examined the three nitrites of the alkaline earths, and found only barium forms a double salt. The conditions of stability are represented by AB, Fig. 85. The corresponding diagrams for strontium and calcium nitrites do not show any evidence of the formation of silver strontium nitrite, or of a silver calcium nitrite nor is any strontium barium nitrite formed, for the two salts give a series of mixed crystals, (Ba,Sr)(N02)2.H20. [Pg.488]

The corresponding conditional probabilities Pa(ba aa) s PJxJxJ for the single and double occupations of cpa(a) are reported in the corresponding diagrams of Scheme 1.3c. It follows from these expressions that in the latter case... [Pg.35]

The permutation operators appear in order to maintain the antisymmetry of the algebraic expressions, as explained earlier. Note that the factors of lA appearing in the second and third terms result from both a pair of equivalent lines and a pair of equivalent vertices in each of the corresponding diagrams. [Pg.95]

The first term on the right-hand side of Eq. [204] involving must be zero in MBPT because the corresponding diagram,, involves the elements... [Pg.101]
