Tribological Properties of Sodium Stearate-Coated Copper Nanoparticles... [Pg.213]

Sodium stearate coated copper nanoparticles were synthesized in water medium through the chemical reduction method. The morphology, structure and thermal... [Pg.213]

The TFM morphology of sodium stearate-coated Cu nanoparticles was investigated on a JFOL JFM-2010 transmission electron microscope at an acceleration voltage of 200 kV. The prepared powders were dispersed in chloroform under ultrasonic agitation for 20 min and then deposited on a copper grid covered with a perforated carbon film. The resulting specimen was then subjected to TFM analysis. [Pg.214]

Figure 10.1 shows the XRD pattern of sodium stearate-coated Cu nanoparticles. It is seen that the peaks at 29 = 43.2°, 50.3°, 73.9°, and 89.9° are assigned to diffractions from the (111), (200), (220), and (311) lattice planes of copper, respectively, which are in agreement with the face-centered cubic (fee) copper phase (Joint Committee on Powder Diffraction Standards, File No. 03-1005). The weak peak at 29 = 36.5° corresponds to the (111) lattice plane diffraction of CuO (Joint Committee on Powder... [Pg.215]
