The most frequently encountered and generally robust methods for the synthesis of alkynylpalladium(ii) complexes are copper(i)-catalyzed dehydrohalogenation and transmetallation involving isolated organotin(iv) compounds or well-defined alkynylcopper(i) species (Scheme 2).
