Copper alloys, elastic properties

As a wrought alloy in the form of wire and strip containing 5% tin and up to 0.4% phosphorus with the remainder copper, the alloy can be heat-treated. In the heat-treated condition it has good elastic properties as well as corrosion-resistance and is used for springs, diaphragms, clutch discs, fasteners and lock-washers. [Pg.222]
