In this section we obtain a number of estimates on the free energy of the disordered copolymer model (Section 1.7). Except for Section 6.3.2, no adsorption term will be included, so throughout the chapter (o = uj (with the noted exception). 

One of the main results proven in this chapter is the following  

By increasing we mean (strictly) increasing on the set in which the function is bounded. 

In this chapter we will explore more than one technique obtaining several estimates that go (substantially) beyond Theorem 6.1. In particular, Theorem 6.1 is for example an immediate consequence of Lemma 6.2 and Theorem 6.5.
