The literature (e g. Sharan, 2004) suggests a lot of different techniques to promote cooperative learning. Think-Pair-Share and the Ball-Bearing method presented above are two of the methods. In the following section two examples for organizing a whole lesson plan in a cooperative mode will be presented and illustrated by examples Ifom chemistry teaching. 

Student-centred teaching methods are essential to provoke effective thinking among students and to provide structured frameworks for communication and cooperation, which will ultimately help to enhance effective learning in the chemistry classroom.
