Controlled Substances in Australia

In a situation analogous to that in the United States of America, legislation covering drugs of abuse has been written at the Territory and Commonwealth levels. The two principle documents relevant at Commonwealth level are the 

Customs Act, 1901 and the Crimes (Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act, 1990.
