Control data speed management

A mixing quality management system is described and its use for mixers with non-controllable rotor speed and ram pressure and mixers with controllable rotor speed is reported. The MixCont control module, the Procon weighing and time.-temp, mixer control system and the data processing toolkit are discussed. 

The operator forms an essential link in any total plant instrumentation and control strategy, and the conveying of information to the process plant operator and the speed at which the operator is able to respond are important considerations. Methods of presentation of information (concerning plant status) to the plant operator, manager or engineer are undergoing a considerable evolution and the effectiveness of the presentation of process data is dependent upon the hardware employed to visualise the data and the protocol used to display it. 

Data System. An IBM-PC desktop computer is interfaced to the instrument control module to provide automated data collection and analysis. The data collection and analysis programs are menu driven. A data management facility is an integral part of the data system. A modeling utility is provided to aid the operator in chosing the operating conditions (rotational speed, spin fluid volume, fluid density, etc.) for a sample. Programming is done in compiled BASIC and the 8087 math coprocessor is used to improve computational speed. 

So here is an attempt at a definition. Clinical decision intelligence is the application of IT to help gather, understand, and act on all available data in clinical practice, healthcare management and administration, and medical research, and where appropriate the automatic utilization of data to control certain clinical and research processes. Its aims are to encourage best practices to improve the quality of patient care by enhancing speed and efficiency to reduce safety risks and needless costs in clinical treatment, diagnosis, management, and administration to monitor and log interactions for accountability, culpability, liability and repudiation and to facilitate biomedical research and pharmaceutical development where based on inclusion of clinical and related data.
