Conduit materials, comparative studies

In order to compare the relative performance of various types of conduit materials, several studies have been conducted as described in this section. 

Table 3 summarizes the mouse studies. There was a tremendous increase in the number of regenerated myelinated axons in the large pore conduits as compared to the small pore conduits, even though both were fabricated from the same collagen material (p < 0.05, Student-Newman-Keuls test).
