Computational polymer processing

This chapter reviews some major contributions regarding polymer melt flows that appear in polymer processing and discusses several issues (usually still unresolved) and their influence in polymer processing. Due to the vastness of the subject matter, the outlay of what follows is rather personal and subjective, but it is hoped that it will add some focus to the present state of affairs in polymer processing computations. [Pg.129]


Modeling of polymer processing has more than a 60-year history. Computational methods gave many possihUities for optimization of processing operations.
