Compost peat-free

A biobed in its simplest form is a rectangular lined pit, 1-1.3 m deep, filled with a mixture of topsoil, peat-free compost, and straw in a ratio of 1 1 2, respectively and turfed over. The aim of the technique is to use the biobed in the sprayer filling/wash down area to minimize point source pollution, and contain and treat any potential pollutants. Biobeds filter out pesticides and use enhanced microbial activity to break them down. 

Install a composting toilet, which uses no water. Rather, it allows human wastes to decompose aerobically as air is vented over the waste, which is buried in peat moss. Dried, odor-free compost is removed every few months and is useful as a garden fertilizer. 

Humic acids of different origin and nature show a different interacting power in the homolytic reaction with chlorophenoxy residues, the average order of reactivity resulting synthetic-HA > peat-HA > soil-HA coal-HA > compost-HA. The only HA-molecular parameters which appear to correlate with this order of reactivity are the COOH content and the COOH/phenolic OH ratio. It results that the higher the values of these 2 parameters in the original HA, the lower its reactivity, measured as residual free spin percentage in the interaction products. 

Examples Compost can be produced at home, along with compost tea. Coffee groimds can often be obtained for free fi om restaurants and eoffee houses. Some examples of soil conditioner include bonemeal, peat, coir, manme, straw, vermiculite, sulfur, lime, blood meal, chemical fertilizers and sphagmun moss. Mulches are also a form of soil conditioner, as they are used to help the soil retain moisture and nutrients so that plants remain healthy.
