Composition seeds, lectins from

Two groups of isolectins have been isolated from Phaseolus vulgaris seeds after chromatography on immobilized fetuin. Although the lectins in the two groups have similar amino-acid and sugar compositions, they share only a partial structural identity as demonstrated by immunochemical criteria.
